In this experiment, We study the influence of plyometric exercise and the influence at 5 kg-vest-weighted plyometric exercise (= both apply a method of ” double legs box bounds”) on explosion power capability and hypertrophy of the bower moving organ muscles among 60 students at SMP negeri I Plaosan – Sarangan – Magetan, males of 13 – 17 years old divided into two groups, each group consists of 30 students by using research design ” The Randomised Pretest- Posttest Group Design”.
For dosage balance of both exercises, the plyometric exercise then uses 10 boxes and 5 kg-vest-weighted uses 9 boxes, determined through the calculation at power need of the two exercise form according to mechanics principle.
The exercise is given for 8 weeks, 3 exercises within each week. Before the exercise is given, body weight and vertical jump capability (The variable which determine explosion power), Right-Left thigh perimeter, right-left calf perimeter, thickness of right-left thigh fat perimeter, and thickness of right-left calf fat perimeter (determinant variable of lower moving organ hypertroply), among all testee (pretest). During the first 4 week, the tes tees finish exercise set (week 1 – 2 = 3 set and week 3 – 4 = 4 set). The first group is given plyometric exercise using 10 box, whereas the second group is given 5 kg-vest-weighted plyometric using 9 box. In the end at the first four week, determinant variables at explosion power and hypertropy at the lower moving organ on all testees (posttest 1). Then it is followed with the second 4 week exercise, where the two group still do the same exercise method, but completes exercise set : week 5 – 6 = 5 set and week 7 – 8 = 6 set.
In the end at the second four week measurement at the determinant variables of explosion power and hypertrophy in lower moving organ is again don’t among all of the testees (posttest 2). Later the acquired data are processed statistically by using discriptive statistics, anava test with significance at 5 %, with computer leep.
The result shows that plyometric exercise and 5 kg-vest-weighted plyometric which both apply movement method of double legs box bounds may surely increase explosion power capability and hypertrophy of the lower moving organ (p < 0,01), but between the two forms of exercise have no significant difference in terms of their influences (p > 0,05).
